New e-Prescribing meets new legal requirements and strengthens patient safety

2026/05/29

The new e-Prescribing service is now being launched – a digital platform that brings together access to the National Drug List (NLL) and electronic prescribing in a single system. Behind the service is Health Amplify AB, owned by the media group Add Health Media AB.

The launch takes place against the background of the National Medication List law that entered into force on December 1, 2025. This means that all prescribers should be able to access the patient’s list of medicines before prescribing, with the aim of increasing patient safety and reducing the risk of medication errors and duplication. The platform is designed for doctors, dentists, midwives and nurses with prescribing rights.

With the new e-Prescribing, we have built a modern platform that makes it easy for both healthcare providers and recreational prescribers to meet the new requirements around the National Drug List. At the same time, we bring together reading, prescribing and prescription management in one system, which provides an efficient workflow regardless of where you work, says Johan Bloom , CEO of Health Amplify.

The new e-Prescribing works both as a stand-alone service and can be integrated into existing EHR systems, making it useful for both individual prescribers and larger healthcare organizations.

Among the features are:

  • Unified read and write access to NLL
  • Support for the prescription of medicines, extemporaneous, licensed preparations and assistive devices
  • Support for mobile, tablet and desktop prescribing
  • Possibility to cancel and terminate prescriptions, including those issued by other prescribers
  • Clearer and more structured prescribing in line with new regulatory requirements

The platform is registered as a National Medical Information System (NMI) with the Medical Products Agency and approved by the Swedish eHealth Agency for connection to the NLL.

The need for safe and structured medication management is increasing in healthcare. Through Health Amplify and e-Prescribing, we are taking an active role in this development, with solutions that combine regulatory compliance with practical benefits, says Lisa Miksell, CEO of Add Health Media.

Health Amplify is a trusted partner of Sambi, which means that the company and the platform are trust-audited and approved by the Sambi Federation. The platform is also connected directly or indirectly with, among others, the Swedish Tax Agency, the National Board of Health and Welfare, SIL, Svensk E -identity, BankID, HSA/Inera and FASS.
