Add Health Media, which recently raised a multi-million investment from the Schibsted Group, acquires the digital communications business from Occident AB. This strengthens the range of services related to medicine, health and well-being. The acquisition means that you can quickly and efficiently take decisive steps in the digital business.
With the acquisition, Add Health Media will also strategically expand its service portfolio and service to existing customers.

Occident, like Add Health Media, has been a well-known brand in the pharmaceutical industry for the past twenty years. Over the years, both companies have built a strong business around the work with information and communication in the medicine and health segment.
Occident offers stable, creative and elaborate digital platforms for the pharmaceutical and medtech industry and broad knowledge in digital archiving for the public sector. The business is divided where the digital archiving remains in its current form, while the digital communications agency with web production will be run by Add Health Media. In Add Health Media, we have found one of the country’s strongest players in the field who can run both existing businesses while managing the knowledge and experience Occident has built up over the past twenty years, says Susanna Winkler, CEO of Occident.
With the takeover, sales, project managers, developers and designers will follow and complement the broad expertise available at Add Health Media.
Our editorial office is today one of the country’s best in medical and health information, at the same time we have a unique and strong distribution chain in healthcare, one of the country’s largest health sites and a driven sales force. With the gang from Occident, we are now taking a real grip on the digital portfolio and will be able to offer cost-effective, creative and certified solutions for digital communication, Brodde Wetter states.
The deal went through on March 1 and, in addition to taking over staff, also means taking over premises in central Stockholm and other parts of the business belonging to Occident’s digital production in communication and web.
I and one of the company’s two founders, Richard Österlind, will in the near future continue to participate in the business in various projects and ensure that the transition to Add Health Media will be smooth without disrupting existing customer projects. I have great confidence that Add Health Media with its broad network and many media can create new strong business for both existing and new customers, says Susanna Winkler.
Occident’s existing customers and suppliers are not affected, but all existing projects and management are continued under the care of Add Health Media.
