Award for Best Patient Information

2017/11/09

Congratulations to Pfizer and Bristol-Myers Squibb who during the Pharmaceutical Congress won the Pharmacy Society’s award for Best Patient Information 2017 .

Pfizer and BMS have jointly developed a concept for patient support for the drug Eliquis , a drug in the field of cardiovascular disease.

The patient support program includes a pre-approved patient site that aims to provide patients with simpler and clearer information about Eliquis and treatment, as well as an app that reminds patients to take the drug.

We at Add Health Media’s digital agency are pleased to have been involved in developing parts of the patient information program for Eliquis by developing a pre-approved patient site, eliquispatient.se .

We have previously paid attention to pre-approved patient sites here in the blog.

The package leaflet and information from the healthcare system have traditionally been how information has been conveyed to the patient. However, small text and cumbersome words on a difficult-to-understand package leaflet easily lead to anxiety, misunderstanding and lost information. Through user-friendly digital communication, pharmaceutical companies can reach patients with simpler and clearer information about the drug and the treatment. Pre-approved patient sites help the patient absorb information and contribute to increased patient safety.

Congratulations once again team Pfizer and BMS!
