On June 12, 2017, Add Health Media AB (AHM) acquired 100% of the shares in Three Doctors AB. Three Doctors owns, among other things, Praktisk Medicin TM<\/sup> , which is a decision support for doctors.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For 40 years, Praktisk Medicin has been an important decision support for how doctors should examine and treat patients. The decision support is available both as a book and as the website www.praktiskmedicin.se<\/a> .<\/p>\n

\u201cWe see that AHM is a company that can develop Praktisk Medicin for new generations of doctors with greater demands on digitization and interaction. I and my medical colleagues Lars-Olof Medin and Mats Elm have for many years put a lot of work into developing and maintaining a high scientific standard on the content of Praktisk Medicin. There are many doctors who have been involved over the years. This is really a decision support made by doctor for doctor, says Mikael Sahlqvist, general practitioner and founder of Three Doctors AB. “<\/em><\/p>\n

Praktisk Medicin has decision support for almost 1,000 diagnoses and the website has 250,000 visits per month. The largest number of visitors come from the county council’s servers and then the large private care providers. Thus, Privat Medicin is one of the largest decision supports for healthcare in Sweden. The treatment overviews for the diagnoses are designed to give the doctor a quick overview of what is important during the patient visit, so nothing is missed or forgotten. Three Doctors has also developed the website privatmedicin.se, where patients get a simple overview of what is good to follow up on different diagnoses.<\/p>\n

\u201cPraktisk Medicin is a well-established digital decision support that has been used by us doctors for many years, before, at and after the patient meeting. Since many doctors already visit the website for knowledge acquisition and support, a natural further development is to continue with digital training and knowledge tests, which benefits us all but patients in particular “says Tobias Perdahl, specialist in internal medicine, medical director Aleris X, board member and co-owner of AHM”<\/em><\/p>\n

With the purchase of Three Doctors, AHM gets the rights to Praktisk Medicin all over the world, with the exception of Denmark, Poland and Greece, where other players bought the rights earlier.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe development of Praktisk Medicin will focus on interaction with doctors to increase knowledge. We now have the opportunity to have interactive training, webinars, surveys and much more. We see a need from both authorities, organizations, pharmaceutical companies and healthcare providers themselves, to be able to communicate and convey knowledge in an effective and measurable way, says Pernilla Bloom, project manager for the initiative with Praktisk Medicin. “<\/em><\/p>\n
